Can anyone substantiate, with references to a medical site for Celexa, like, you know, with "Most Common Side Effects" kind of stuff - whether migraines is a potential major or minor side effect of Celexa. Because if it is, I'll look forward to chucking them over my balcony. Like many of you, I've been on and off these kinds of pills for years, and, much to my chegrin, I'm still not the big Hollywood star I dreamed I'd be when I was 16. Not to mention the fact that one's work ethic (at least, mine) seems to suffer with all these "sleepy" meds (leading to crappier jobs and greater depression). So - that's my "thing". Please reply ASAP. Thank you. Dar.
Dar,
I've read that headaches seem to be a common side-effect of Celexa--I'm not sure if that's anecdotal or if I've actually read this in a study (I don't know if that matters, if you're the one having headaches!)
I don't know what other meds you've been on, but if you've had problems with sedation, there are other meds available that are more activating (i.e. Wellbutrin) and that might be more helpful...
You might try Ivan Goldberg's Depression Central site for links to more detailed info on specific drugs (there's a link to *that* on the main page of this site). Good luck!
