I am taking 150 mg serzone in the evening, in addition to effexor xr, thyroid meds, and ritalin. In the beginning, like Dee, I noticed huge surges in emotionality, but they have subsided. I also had some dizziness the first week or so. Now, (also about 6 weeks into it) I still have some slight balance problems especially early in the morning, but nothing major. It makes me a bit more cautious when doing things that require good balance, like climbing on a chair, hiking, etc. It also makes me somewhat drowsy in general, and very groggy when I wake up in the morning. I used to take trazodone to sleep, which had a fast acting intense drowsiness, sedative effect, but the serzone takes longer to start and wear off, I think.
