Seroquel for GAD?

Has anyone ever heard of this medication Seroquel being used for GAD? I was told at low dosages even though it is a medication used for schizophrenia (sp)?
That alot of psych doc. use it for anxiety and other disorder. Was just wondering my doctor mentioned it for me myself but im kinda hesitate about it since what it is scheduled to treat. Thanks for any information or replies.
