I have been on lamictal for a unipolar depression for about a year and a half. My psychopharmacologist said that while it has been used for bi-polar disorder for some time there is now research suggesting its efficacy for unipolar depression. My experience with it has been positive. After trials of many standard anti-depressants it was the first med that impacted what had been a treatment resistant depression.
