Hi,
To all who quitting Celexa or other AD's,
you can do it if you want to. Alternatives
like 5HTP, St. John's, SAMe, Homocysteine Factors (cheap source of SAMe), aminos (DLPA, tyrosine, etc.) DO help. So do therapies,
incl. Acupuncture, EMDR, EFT, TAT.I quit Celexa about 2 months ago, and have
continued to feel better and better especially with use of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques
(see www.emofree.com). This can be self-applied,
or see the directory of practitioners on the site.
Many of them also will work very effectively over
the phone.I also feel that I learned and changed alot, as a result of getting so badly depressed, resorting to meds. for the first time in my 50 years, and working through it (Started Effexor mid-Jan., switched to Celexa in early Feb. and stopped mid-April.) I hated the apathy I felt and felt like it was time to quit.
Now I feel like I'm the best I've ever been, just
3 months after the "pits".Good luck to you all.

> well, so far so good. when i went off celexa, i started taking 5-htp to lessen the withdrawal. it seemed to work. i am still taking it, as well as tyrosine, and i think that i am doing well. i am also seeing a good therapist and i think it is helping too.
