Paxil, Pindolol, and Trazadone combo? others?

Posted by Deb on August 18, 1998, at 2:54:31

I'm a female in my late 20's and have tried serzone (could barely walk), prozac (worked well, but couldn't sleep at night), and zoloph (seemed to not work even after the dosage was raised) after the initial relief.
I've seen various Drs., counselors, Psychiatrists, and my diagnosis seems to be major depression and anxiety with a history of agoraphobia in my immediate family.
I had never really heard of the latest combo I've been on which is Paxil (20 mg AM), pindolol (10 mg. 2x day), and trazadone (100 mg at bedtime). The third week using this new combo, I felt GREAT, like I was a member of society again, but this fourth week I've started to experience a few if my old symptoms ( depression, racing thoughts, tendancy to isolate), the anxiety however has been at a much lower level. I'm just curious if anyone else has been on this combo, anyone ever used Pindolol for anxiey (its a high blood pressure medication). Also, would an increase in Paxil be something to suggest to my Dr.?

Thanks!
Deb
