Hi all
Im in need of some help here! I have been on Citalopram for the past 7 years at a dose of 50mg. Over the past 2 years I have managed to come down to 30mg. My Dr wants to try me on a MAOI called Nardil. The reason for this is I have not responded to any medications (tried every SSRI) when first got anxiety. How is the best and fastest way to go from 30mg to 0? I need to have no Citalopram for 2 weeks before starting the MAOI. Also has anyone else heard good things about MAOI's for agoraphobia and social anxiety?
Any help would be great.

Hey,
Nardil is/was "the gold standard" for social anxiety. I myself use it for atypical depression, gad, and social anxiety and find it brilliant. Far better than the ssri's ive used (effexor, paxil, zoloft). It's a good starting point among the maoi's if anxiety is your primary issue. There are many knowledgable people (lots of experience) taking maois who would answer questions for you (including myself) on the dr bob med board (psychobabble).keep smilin,
atypical depression, gad, social anxiety
75mg nardil
