Wow, there are a moderate earthquake today. One of my pictures fell down.
It was a 5.5 quake or something.
It was the biggest quake since living in California.
Lots of people were evacuated. Stupid me I just lay on my bed doing nothing. LOL I didn't even attempt to get to the doorframe.
It was quite a big shake. I hope there's no structural damage.

It was interesting how I was not scared at all. I knew it was an earthquake as soon as it started shaking.
I thought to myself, "Oh interesting, it's an earthquake, and it's not small" as I lay on my bed.
I did not think to seek cover or anything! I was in the middle of a room, completely exposed to falling roofs etc. LOL
Wow, I guess I probably wouldn't survive a really big quake.
Next time I need to be more alert. I can't believe there was absolutely no reaction from me to this earthquake.

I'm glad you're ok...I was thinking about you, wondering if you were affected, couldn't remember if you were nearby
it was probably a shock reaction
delayed processing of the event you know...'hmmm...things are shaking how strange' kind of reaction
what does one do in an earthquake anyway?

There have been so many earthquakes in CA recently, and big ones. They never scared me before. Now that we're having so many and large ones, I'm afraid of "the big one." Most ppl don't have earthquake insurance around here. I'm afraid of injury or losing my house.
Have you ever had earthquakes in Ottawa before? Seems like the whole planet is more earthquake prone than it used to be. Maybe somehow all the environmental changes, global warming etc. is causing them. Some ppl believe HAARP is deliberately causing earthquakes, a scary conspiracy theory.
Anyways, your not the only one with earthquakes on your mind.

We have earthquakes in Ottawa, but most are too small to be felt. Once in a while there is one that is big enough to be felt, but just barely. It's very rare to have a moderate earthquake here.
Earthquakes are in the news a lot lately. I'm not sure whether it is because there are actually more earthquakes now or that just more people are reporting on them on the news.
This is the end of the thread.
