what a sad feeling
to know...
the sales flyers for "gifts for dads" aren't marketed toward me
but for someone else
who might think a gift feels right
as a gesture toward all that has been given
and I think "how nice for them, how good it is that that exists" (without sarcasm)
I'll be keeping myself busy today
I am scarcely a thought in the head of the male contributor of my DNA.
I found a private place to cry for a while
because I cannot explain this to most.
ah well, other things to think about.

thanks, it was a tough morning yesterday
most of the time I don't think about it, but when I do I know it still haunts me
