I've only had it as part of Herbs de Provence. I've used that to make vinagraitte and to season meat before.
I've got a whole bag of dried lavendar that I pruned from my garden. I still haven't figured out what I want to do with it yet.

what kind of recepes? I can't imagine eating lavender, i wonder if it has a calming effect when injested

I have always loved Lavender.
years ago I drank it in a tea and ended up with loose bowels.
