I'm meeting with my pdoc, can't look him in the eye, can't talk, and break down crying? I had a list of things to discuss and didn't say any of them. It's so f*ckin embarrassing. And to top it off, I leave with a new rx which I didn't want.
It's awful that Depression robs us of our confidence, self-esteem and ability to interact.

i'm so sorry berberis. depression and anxiety can be so overwhelming. i had something very similar happen to me yesterday. it was embarrassing, humiliating, and i had an anxiety attack, but i said what i needed to say...because he asks all the right questions.
could you possibly write everything down and give him the note? and maybe tell him you don't want a new rx?fw

How in the world can he know what to do for you when he doesn't talk to you?! How long are your appts? Do you like him, do you think he's doing an okay job for you, have you thought about someone more personable?

Fw, yes I think I need a new pdoc as my valium has run out and he didn't even call in a prescription. So now it's the DT's I guess. What to do in a new area where noone knows you and you don't know the good pdocs. Love Jan, Phillipa

Alex rx stands for the word prescription. I need to remember that everyone doesn't know the abbreviations. Sorry. Love Phillipa

Could you call the university and ask for some referrals, and then call them to see what you think. Can you ask on the meds board, are we allowed to do that? Do you have a GP yet? Going without your meds isn't good, I agree, I'd find someone more caring.

I have an appointment Monday for psych testing again and it is in the same practice as the pdoc. I will call first and tell them I need a Rx ASAP. And that I will be there in the office that day. He said he wasn't changing my meds so don't understand. If he doesn't renew it I will go the the hospital and tell them what happened. By the way I haven't taken any extra it is due to be filled now. I don't think the meds board can help but I will post a Thread asking about pdocs in Charlotte. And I do have enough to last until Monday. Thanks for caring and your great suggestions. Love Phillipa

Alex I don't know. That's just the way it is they don't like too many questions in nursing school. Ed may know though. Fondly, Phillipa
