it is 11:00 p.m. on a school night. I just got back from the "Crawfish Barn" (restaurant).
I went to a meeting because I am my daughter's T ball coach. My husband only thinks I went to a meeting. We decided to go to the restaurant after the meeting. I just got home. I had a blast. He and the kids are sleeping. I feel so guilty. I do not want to wake him up. I might just sleep on the sofa.I did not do anything wrong. Why do I feel guilty? Is it because I left my kids? I cooked supper before I left home.
Boy the crawfish were good.
We laughed until I was hurting.
I have to work tomorrow. Maybe I should call in and take the day off.
Love you guys,
Lynn

You went to the meeting, you all decided to go out. You did nothing wrong. You are an adult and you need to do something good for YOURSELF once in a while. Feel the guilt and do it anyway, mom.
I'm glad you had fun! ;~}

With all you've been through recently you probably needed to let off some steam. One of the best ways is laughing until your stomach hurts but you still can't stop! I've found this kind of laughter only happens when you are completely worn out (either physically or mentally). I think its a natural thing that is built in to our system.
I'm glad you were able to have that time for yourself. Just remember, you have to take care of yourself so that you will be able to be at your best for those you love. Just like starving yourself would make you less able to function, not allowing yourself the breaks you need could be equally debilitating.
I do understand the guilt, but although you may not be able to see it, its just not deserved in this case.
