Hello all,
i just wanted to kind of update what's happening with me...i am currently back on the street (although with my bf)..have actually been "homeless" for the last 4 months or so..things are not easy, but i know i am close to turning the corner. i just had to share, so as to not feel so alone, i guess. i try to stay positive with the occasional wacky humor online, but things are quite difficult.i must say, even though this has been another very difficult trial in my life, i have learned *a lot* about myself..and, actually, through my recent difficulties have finally been able to overcome the obsessive "ruminations" (or whatever the hell they are) that have pervaded my life. it makes all of this difficulty almost worth it..i just hope my head *stays* clear..
thanks for listening...to all those going through tremendous difficulties..keep an eye on your dreams, and be appreciative of the wisdom that you achieve through hardship..and absolutely don't focus on how bad your situation is, but on how you can get out of it..what is that phrase.."better to light a candle in the dark than curse the darkness"..
take care,
amy

I find it actually encouraging to hear your words, "I am on the streets, but, I see it turning around" You do not sound hopeless....that in itself is something to be proud of. Please take care, and know that there are many out here who are concerned for your well being. That must mean there are people in R/T whom you are surrounded by right there who are concerned as well. I hope for the best for you.

thank you so much for your words, you guys!..made me smile to read that people care. i haven't had much of that, even my new bf, but that's another thread i guess..i've tried to toughen up here the past few months, and i know it is reflected in my (not-so-friendly?) threads..anyways, i hope to be a warmer contributer around here..i'm just trying so hard..but i really feel happy today. i think i need to socialize here some. i love you guys. btw, adagrace, it made me smile to see you mentioned my name in another thread. that is so sweet. i was too depressed that day to reply, though. i wish i had more ppl that cared outside of here. but, not really. i actually imagined god giving me a hug this morning, telling me, "you can do this" in order to comfort myself. but i am doing fine right now..much better than when i last posted. it's so nice to be here.
hugs to you guys,
your friend,:)

Amy, I'm just sitting here in my panty hose and army boots thinking about how odd people are. Not us! Those other people. : )
I'm glad to hear you've (almost) got a roof over your head. You know us old guys, we worry. Especially about good friends like you.
Well, I have to go shopping now--where's my tophat and cane? C'mere kitty. Please stay in touch.
