Planning ahead

Posted by ClearSkies on October 14, 2005, at 8:30:08

This morning I am baking my first ever cheesecake - cappucino. I have never been "known" for my desserts - usually end up buying something at a bakery.
This year I decided that at our Thanksigiving gathering I will reproduce our wedding cake. Key Lime cheesecake with raspberry swirl. I wanted to try out my new Very Serious Looking springform pan.

The cake should be completed by 3pm this afternoon, cooled and ready to eat. Who's coming over for a coffee break?

I'll be there! Cheesecakes should be made in 36" diameter. I had caramel topped cheesecake once--thought I'd died and gone to heaven.
I really love key lime too. Raspberry, unbelieveable.
Donuts, bagels..don't get me started. : )

Success. Husband is now snoozing on the sofa despite a cup of freshly brewed Starbucks, due to cheesecake intoxication.
2 slices!

well.... I put half of it in the freezer so save it from being attacked like we were a pack of hyenas. Then my step daughter decided she needed to bring a chunk of it to her boyfriend...so out it came and it's being whittled away every time someone walks past.

I will post this recipe! It does *not* belong on the Health board.

Cool! All I know about cheesecakes are that cream cheese is used! LOL. I never bake anything.

Mmmmmmm...key lime....raspberry...swirl...
That's an interesting wedding cake! I never knew that people use cheesecake as their wedding cake!
