Dinah -- hello, are you here?

Posted by Sarah T. on October 4, 2005, at 0:43:14

Hello Dinah,

I realize that this is an extremely stressful time for you, and I have been reluctant to post this message because you have more than you can handle right now.

When your life has settled back to normal (whatever that is!), I'd be very interested to hear your opinion about wireless Internet access. Are you pleased with it? How do you deal with security issues? That has been one of my main concerns about wireless.

I realize that it may be some time before you can respond, but I just wanted to post this in case you log on.

Thanks.

Sarah

It's expensive. And it's slow, especially at peak hours. It'll never replace DSL for me, or cable. But in a pinch, it's better than not having internet access at all. :)

Thank you , Dinah (nm) » Dinah

Hi Dinah,

I know that the topic of this post is the very least of your concerns right now, but I will mention it for future reference. . . There is an article on wireless Internet access in the current (October 2005) issue of "Scientific American."

Actually, the topic is very much on my mind right now. :)

I'm as frustrated as heck trying to work on an internet connection that crashes or times out when you download something.

It's amazing how the small things really add to my frustration more than the big things.

I'll try to find the article. Thanks.
