...yes, Phillipa it was the second one in a month!! Went to Rome and Florence. It was all about the food, the art, the history, and the food. Oh, and the shopping. Have a spiffy pair of shoes and a new handbag.
Also brought home a delightful sinus infection and laryngitis, which came in handy when I was trying to scream at the top of my lungs at my husband, who assigned me as Trip Navigator, and then refused to follow any of my suggestions. He was smart enough not to actually laugh at me, but it's terribly ineffective to have a temper tantrum when you can't back it up with some volume, you know?
I'm glad that this already seems funny to me.

Wow! Florence and Rome. Was it all business or just for fun? Fondly, Phillipa

It was a vacation and a graduation present for my step-daughter who completed college in August. She was told to "name the place" she wanted to go, and that's where we went.
It would have been impossible to accomplish without accumulated airmiles and hotel vouchers. My husband's frequent business travel means we get to have nice vacations like this. Actually, I can't quite grasp that he *enjoys* to travel for pleasure when he does so much for work, you know? But he's that kind of guy.
My jets are lagging tonight... I will email some photos when my brain has caught up with my body...

I want to know what you've made with the popsicle sticks!!
I get frustrated at picking up others' messes continually. It's never ending and never fullfilling, is it? You clean a corner and it seems to attract a mess.So what have you done for YOURSELF, sweetie?
How about doing something that will make you feel good about AdaGrace??
concerned,
CS

No popsicle sticks to be had here.
Cubbard is bare actually.Learning to be creative in cooking....as if I wasn't already.
Also learning to deal with the fact that Mr. Man is forever around....but doing nothing to help.
Actually thinks I should run errands with him, and go to his Mommy's with him for lunch (an everyday occurance for him since she lives next door and I have been working all our married life until now.) And he is extreemly offended that I don't want to spend my every waking hour with him now that I am home....says I am being anti social. (did he not realize I was like this already?)
Switchplate idea scrapped for now. Everything looks too abstract and bizzare for my kitchen, which needs a major overhaul anyway.
Contemplating sewing a quilt out of jean scrap, but haven't got the umph.
Sorta putting paperwork from deceased job on the back burner, depresses me to look at it, even though there are pressing issues that need attending.
Thinking of cleaning out my garage today. Seriously thinking about it.....not doing it, but seriously thinking about it........
I'm lazy.

> I'm lazy.Hmm. That doesn't sound like lazy. It sounds like over and under-whelmed, kind of coming at you from both directions. My husband works from home; his office is at the back of our garage. We pretty much keep our separate paths during the day unless there is a specific task that needs both our attentions.
I see him briefly at lunch if he bothers stopping for lunch. Then I see him at supper, which I prepare daily. This isn't an arrangement we came to but it just happened, and it suits me. I am pretty certain that I found an angel wandering the earth when he and I met.

Sounds like a man I could live with. I really don't want someone to spend every day all day with. I like my privacy, and before when i was working all the privacy I had was the 15 minutes to work and the 15 minutes home. Not much privacy, I couldn't even take a bath by myself.
Now I just want more and more of it. I am a recluse. I like it like that. I don't want to go to his mothers and have her give me job advice. She sorta swallowed her tongue when she told me about a minimum wage job opening and I informed her that I needed enough to pay the house payment, health insurance, and added necessities that Mr. Man didn't have a clue how to buy or pay for.
Not to mention my cigarettes and hooch.
She is so out in left field, taken care of by her man, jumps when he says jump and cannot go to the doctor on her own. Heaven forbid she should need some tampons, she would "oh the horror" have to go to the store BY HERSELF!!!!
Seems she didn't teach her son how to take care of his woman so she wouldn't have to work!!!!
I am bitter.I am lazy, and bitter.
I am lazy, bitter, and seriously manic depressive.
What oh what shall I do????
BTW, Garage is gutted. Now for the refilling.

Hi Clearskies,
I am very jealous. I've always wanted to go to Italy. I even took an italian class, but all I remember is how to order a cup of black coffee.
If I ever get there I will leave very thin and very wired.I hate being the designated navigator. It turns into one big fight. If I couldn't yell, I'd do some gestures, that would not be polite in any country.
