On the plane home, I was reading how great it was, so I'm trying it out.
But is it slow? Or is this a slow night...

It was at home, but maybe everyone in my neighborhood was on the internet. :)

We've been using Firefox for several weeks and find it to be excellent. Speed doesn't seem to be a factor, either way. We like the other touches, like the bookmarks toolbar and the "find in this page" feature that doesn't obscure the screen like IE.

Yes, I'm really liking it too. I think the slowness was an ISP problem as it comes and goes. Maybe everyone on my block gets on at one time.
Even better, the buggy thing that keeps wiping out the history on IE seems to be ok on Firefox. Thank heavens. It's almost impossible for me to process Babble if all the posts titles are the same color.

What are the advantages for using Firefox rather than Internet Explorer?
I had downloaded Mozilla software a year or two ago (I'm assuming it was Firefox) and I couldn't find any advantage. I was told that you could block pop-ups but I couldn't find any way to do that.
Maybe the newer version is a lot better or maybe I just didn't know enough about how to use it?
This is the end of the thread.
