Dreams

Posted by Susan47 on June 7, 2005, at 12:30:38

Last night I had the most fabulous dreams about tropical waters, beaches, the ocean, and men .. a man and his sex .. and it was so beautiful, I love these dreams, and I don't have them often enough. Anybody else have dreams like this, that make you feel so good, so eager to experience things.. it's like the dream starts a cycle of excitement.. somehow, though, real life never matches the dream .. but the dream gives me something to strive for. I like that.

I think it's great you can have such wonderful dreams. My dreams rarely make much sense but they can get pretty emotional at times. It's definately weird to wake up feeling so angry one can explode and then get angry because it was all a dream and there is no reason to be angry! I like most of my dreams though...even the nightmares, they are scary and exciting...but not the ones about failing school...those are horrible.

...that you wake up angry, from dreaming. I think that might have happened once or twice in my life, when I was having an unspoken hate relationship with a woman at work. She was, is, vicious to women.
What's your dream material when you wake up in that state? That would be interesting, do you remember them? I'm not convinced there is no reason to be angry, if you're waking up from your dreams like that.
The majority of my dreams in the last three or four years, have been really exciting in some way. Lots of plane trips, lots of travel excitement in them, a lot of houses with different, interesting, moody rooms.. houses with windows with different views, people in them from the past and it feels like the future, too.
Last week I had this dream, it was about my last therapist. I don't remember it so well now, but there were at least two dreams that night about him, and he was a house, and I was in it, and the house had huge, gaping holes in the walls. It was a trailer, not a house, actually. I really wonder what the dream was saying. It was fascinating. I think I know what the dream was saying, actually, in some way. Did you know that your subconscious actually fires before your conscious? They've done research, it's true.. I think dreams are a picture of our subconscious. Very, very cool. :)
