Just wanted to let everyone know that i have the best father in the world. He had me late in life, so now he is 80 and has cancer and heart problems, but he has a positive attitude and still gets out when he can. Unfortunately we are 750 miles apart, but we talk on the phone often. He has always been there for me and does what he can. (he's sending me money for my move) (and he doesnt have much) so it means alot. This fathers day means so much to me and I will do what I can to let him know how special he is and how lucky i am to have him. I hated the fact that he had me old because I knew I wouldnt have him in my life as long as some others who have young fathers, but its been worth it. He has gotten to see my daughter grow up (i had her young) and for some ppl having someone like thatin your life, for even a short time, means more than anything else....

You are very fortunate, S. Does he know how you feel about him?

I'm so happy for you. To have such positive feelings about a parent is a wonderful thing.
I'll bet father's day will be special for him because he truly knows you love him.
My father frequently talked about how he knew how much I loved him in his last month or so of life, and I know it meant a lot to him.
This is the end of the thread.
