Oh Gaaaacieeee

Posted by Toph on February 12, 2005, at 11:21:50

It's become clear to methat you don't love me anymore. What was it, my flat butt? I promise to squeeze my cheeks together more which sort of rounds it out a bit. Or was it my calling you a butterfly? Butterflies are actually very attractive insects or whatever they are. Perhaps it was the suggestion that we take a ride in my rented convertable and you shuttered to think of looking like the bride of Frankenstein after the wind blowing through your hair. I think I know - you are jealous of Vixen, my polyurethane friend! Well, whatever it is, I miss you and will cherish the moments we shared together forever.
Your loving Toph.

Funny like funny lookin?

I've been feeling really great lately, which normally means I'm getting hypo-manic. But I'm taking Lamictal and I'm almost up to 200 mgs which is the therapeutic level. I've been really disappointed by it's lack of effect on my mood, if anything I was more cranky and depressed. Pray that this is an effective supplement to my lithium cause it sure would be nice not to be down all the time.

Thanks for asking alex.

Oh, I'm sorry, and how are you (I guess the drug has no effect on politeness)?

I suppose I would laugh differently if I were upside down all the time. Or if it were hot in February. Or you're eating lunch when I should be sleeping. Or if it's raining and I lost my wallet and my wife just left me and some bloke comes up to me and says, "G'day." I'd think that I'd find that funny in a kiwi sort of way, alex.

Nooooooooo, it is you guys who are upside down :-)

>Or if it were hot in February.

Well we just had a downpour actually, and I am absolutely saturated. But I can't believe it is summer in June / July. Most odd.

Heh heh.

Oh no no no. See 'G'day' and 'Sheila' are Australian sayings. Bit like confusing Americans with Canadians, Or Iranians with Iraquians or whatever. :-(

I shall try to find something distinctively NZ for you.

:-)

Alex.

Funny you should mention that, I saw a few photos of my drunken no good self from New Years, had put some spangly combs in my too short burn stubble hair, and low and behold, I looked like the Bride of Frankenstein.

To bad the blob was with me. The bump on a log. The thorn in my side. The cause of my headache. The knife in my back. The dread of my homecoming. The reason for my suicidal dreams. Or should I say my murder/suicidal dreams.

There, now that brought a smile to my face.

Ada, throw some bread crumbs down the slot between the bars, they got me locked in solitary confinement, Grace

Otorohanga? Now that rolls off the tongue. Do you call that home, are you an Otorohangan or Otorohanganette? Kiwis are a proud bunch judging from your web site. Hmmm, tranquilizer guns? I could use one of those when Queen Sheila gets into a rage, say when I fall asleep on the couch and burn the steak on the barbie.

Are you guys friends or foes with the Aussies?

> Otorohanga? Now that rolls off the tongue.

Heh heh. Actually it kinda does once you get used to it.

Have a go at this one Ngaruawahia.
I remember learning how to spell that one at primary school (nine girls are rowing under a wharf and here I am)

>Do you call that home, are you an Otorohangan or Otorohanganette?

I guess the first one, though I admit I haven't heard that. It is a very small town but there is a lot of tourist stuff because it is on the main route between Auckland (biggest city) and Wellington (Capital). Na. I am a Hamiltonian. From Hamilton. Bout 40 minutes north of Otorohanga.

>Kiwis are a proud bunch judging from your web site.

Hmm. And you Americans are not??? But yeah, we do pretty well by international standards given our small population.

>Hmmm, tranquilizer guns? I could use one of those when Queen Sheila gets into a rage, say when I fall asleep on the couch and burn the steak on the barbie.

Heh heh.

> Are you guys friends or foes with the Aussies?

Hmm. I guess how New Zealanders feel about Australians is probably comperable to how Canadians feel about Americans. From what I can gather anyway.

I guess that we are friendly enough when it comes down to it but there is a surface hostility and bitter bitter rivalry on the sportsfield. Maybe the real friendliness comes of our kinda needing them to defend us when it comes to the crunch. Our national anthem is 'God defend New Zealand' and when it comes down to it God had better (and Australia as well) otherwise we are well and truely screwed. Being a little island out in the middle of nowhere after having sold out airforce and all...

But yeah, I guess there is an Australasian sense of identity too (thats NZ and Australia together). I suppose it comes out most strongly once you meet up with some outside Australasia.

Thnks for answering my questions. I am pretty sure that the USA would assist you as a free democratic nation in your defense if you were threatened. That is, if it is not overextended conquering oil producing countries.

My best friend lives in the UK. His father (and now his mother) live in NZ. He goes there for holiday fairly often and loves it.

I remember a strange coincidence. It turns out that while I was in hospital (dual diagnosis - depression and substances) from what I now believe was an attempt of alcohol poisoning his sister, who was bipolar and off her meds, was found at the bottom of a cliff.

Too bad neither of us had found babble yet. I know if I had found it, I would have insisted he tell his sister.

Sorry for making the thread a bummer.

You guys are pretty pissed off with us for our nuclear free stance. But we like to think of it as us kinda being in the Aussie's pockets and the Aussie's being kinda in you guys pockets (you should have seen the student protests against Aussie's support of the war last year) and so in a roundabout way sure, you guys will look after us.

And we are a commonwealth country too, so technically England should lend a hand...

>That is, if it is not overextended conquering oil producing countries.

Heh heh, you is funny Toph :-)
