I was walking around, and I saw all the homeless people were cold. How can they rest with the wind whipping snow all around? I would've liked to bring one home but they usually smell bad and make your place smell bad. I'd give them all a dollar but there's so many I would be broke...

Old blankets and old coats. One will help someone, and it would help more than money.
But that's my two cents.
Pun intended.
I wish I could sleep.

i walked passed an old man on top of a subway grate...he did not ask for money..he did not look up at me or the people passing by..
i looked at him..
my name was on a tiny tag on the sleeping bag around his body..
i dont live in the city..
this was a donation from my family that found its way to someone that needed it..
from that day on...

Wow, how cool was that? Validation that small efforts can make a difference in the human experience.
Good for you, jyl.
