Ray of Sunshine

lying across the dining table. Susan is taking off her clothing and lying on that table too. She's going to blend with the sunshine.

Wow.

I'm lying there in the sun, feeling my body's weight against the floor (okay I moved the table was afraid someone would be able to see), soaking up the sensations, I sit up and see my shadow, and I see it's beautiful, the breast and the shoulder .. I get up grab pencil and pad and draw this.. and I see I have a beautiful body, not what I used to think, and it felt so good to draw that.

Skin always feels so liquid and warm, soothed, when it's been in the sun.

I should learn when too much is too much. Four puffs this morning and I forgot to pick up my books at the postal outlet...but I did have a very interesting discussion about TB with the public health nurse who read my scratch test .. the discussion was fascinating, in fact, but I can't remember half of it.
Now, four more puffs, instead of the required two, and instead of remembering what I understand right now, I'll forget most of it .. but I will know I have to the tools to understand, and that was important.

My head hurts terribly. There's a ray of sunshine across the floor in my children's room. I'm going to lay stripped and striped in that for a while. Mmmm, warm, soft, beautiful my Friend Sunshine.

You could use a little sunscreen, hon. Here, let me be of assistance... (my apologies Bob for the first syllable of the last word).

You better apologize for that first syllable, hon, or DB will have your (syllable).
Hey Toph, I like the way you thought of me needing sunscreen ... it's nice someone cares .... Do you need sunscreen through a window?

Yeah, unless you don't mind getting a bunch of red squares on your body from the sashes.

Oh yes. I'd miss it too if I had to quit. Fortunately, I don't have to. I've made the choice to be an idiot. Free and clear, my choice. I-d-i-o-t. But it feels better to want to be alive and be slightly stupid, than have my thinking free and clear and be wanting it all to be over. So there y'are.

My quitting was due to the bun in the oven. I sit and watch the puffing go on, however- do you have any idea what kind of torture that is?

Yes, I think I do. Keep up the good fight, you're doing great and eventually the cravings will pass.. keep telling yourself that anyway.
