The time has come for my GRE. I think that I actually had too long to get ready for it, and now I really just want to get it over with. I hope I do okay. I will know right after I take it because it's all computerized now so you get your unofficial scores right away. Except for the writing section, which takes 10-15 days. Anyways, I really hope I do well because it could quite possibly ruin my day if I don't. I wasn't nervous before, but I am noticing that as the time draws closer, I'm getting more and more anxious.

Hi mmcasey,
Good luck tomorrow!! We'll be thinking of you. If you're feeling up to it, log on and tell us how it was. Don't study any more tonight. Just relax now. Have a healthy dinner and try to get a good night's sleep. Be sure to eat a good breakfast tomorrow with some protein and a little bit of carbohydrate, and don't drink too much coffee.

It is great that you get your results immediately. Gone are the anxious weeks of waiting, I guess.
Good luck. Breathe.

Yay! I took the GRE yesterday and it went pretty well I think. It was quite draining though, sitting there at the computer having to use my brain for 4 hours straight! Plus, they add in these "unidentified research sections" so that you have to do more work and it isn't scored - it's only for their own purposes. Okay, so we have to pay them, and they make us do extra work when we are already working long and hard. Doesn't seem right....
But I'm very relieved it's over, and that I think I did well enough so as to not need to take it again. The thing is, now I feel that strange sense of when something that I've been stressed out about and/or concentrating on for some time is over... like "what do I do now?" sort of thing.

Congratulations!
I think that empty feeling is just a bit of shock. It'll wear off in a couple days. :D

Enjoy this time while it lasts. Once you are in graduate school, you won't need to ask "what do I do now?" because you'll have your work cut out for you.
