Take it from one who is in the trenches and can barely do anything (except go on the computer and hang at these boards, for some reason!) this is a HIGHLY FUNCTIONING GROUP!
Many of you are doing SOOOOO well, it is very encouraging, yet at the same time I feel so d@mn INADEQUATE compared to you folks.
Heck, people here write their own poetry, others type in poems from published poets (so they're into reading and understanding poetry) ... people here are able to hold down jobs out-of-the-home, raise children, read *heavy* literature, exercise, basically juggle a lot of varied activities and interests while also dealing with meds and the conditions that brought them to PB/PSB.
How you do it I haven't a clue (especially those with children they must care for - me, I can BARELY care for myself, and I'm not very good at that)
As I see it, and this is JMVHO, many of you are doing FAR better than you may realize and you deserve a tremendous amount of credit for all that you are able to do. I wish I could do a fraction of what you're able to ... I admire you all.

Hey, Janelle, I bet you're selling yourself short too - we all tend to do that to ourselves. Don't know how old you are, but give yourself a bit of time. Make a list of what you can do & have done - you may be pleasantly surprised.
Some of us accomplished things BEFORE the depression hit us, & others are just too stubborn to give up.
