DOES ANYONE WANT TO DO A CHAT W/ ME TONIGHT, I'M ONLY ONE PAGE AWAY FROM COMPLETELY REGISTERING.
NOT TO PICK ON DOCTORS OK?
I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO PRETEND I'M NOT MENTALLY ILL.
I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO ADMIT I'M A MENTAL PATIENT.
DOES THIS STUFF HAPPEN OR IS IT ME?
THANKS
TROUBLE

I figured out how to get into chat, but I always get a "general chat error" if I type something, and I don't see anyone else ?
What am I doing wrong?

I haven't even got that far, holy smokes, apparently I registered with Yahoo some time in the past and can't remember the password. Every time I asked for a "prompt" I got a "server busy"
message, so I attempted to re-register with much grief. Now I guess I'm waiting for a validation
e-mail. If anyone can read the posts on PSB, what's all the cloak-and-dagger stuff with Yahoo
groups?

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/psycho-babble-open/
You will need to join Yahoo if you haven't already and then join the group. Once you do that select Chat. If there is any one in chat you will see a list of their names on the right.
When you join Yahoo you will be given the option of setting up a Yahoo email account. You can do this if you don't want to use your regular email.
Good luck. Post if you need more inf.
Jane

I just did a test run under AOL to see if I can duplicate troubles problem. I just reset up a new email account through yahoo email. After this I clicked on pbabble open and "joined the group". I was requested to download some "Audio files" or whatever, which I did, and then everything went firmly. Seems the best route is to just set up a new email account at yahoo mail and go from there.
I just go to this web page and sign up as a new user.
http://mail.yahoo.com/?.intl=us
In fact, I am logged into chat right now as 2 users (john_z_x2, and john_z_x3).
When you register, *don't* give a current email.

If you have explorer it is in tools, options, security, custom level, there should be a checkbox for disable java, decheck it
I haven't used netscape in a while so I don't know how to do it there.Good Luck

i do indeed have explorer, so i followed your directions and went to tools, options, security, custom level, but could not find a checkbox for "disable java" -- the only thing I found was for java applets and that is enabled.
HELP please- do you know which of those choices in custom level is actually referring to java without saying java specifically or is there someplace else i need to go?
thanks for helping me
