I live in Preston, Lancs, and have been struggling with being depressed for years... have a few friends (at the moment) but none who really get what it's like... anyone around from the same area as me? It'd be good to know yr out there..

I'm at the wrong end of England, but wanted to check that you had heard of the UK charity Depression Alliance? They have an email discussion group for members, and also local self-help groups. In Lancashire, the groups are based in Blackburn, Burnley, Chorley and Clitheroe. Website is at http://www.depressionalliance.org/, or contact the HQ at email [email protected] or phone 020 7633 0557.
Just in case you dont get a local person here, tho of course you may. I have also found that the people on this Board understand very well how I feel, wherever they are.
