I told my T today about meeting a babbler last week and about my upcoming trip to meet others. She asked what kind of internet community and I told her mental health. I didn't really want to tell her though. She was starting to go into how I need to do some things for me and I felt picked on, so I told her something I thought she might see as positive....even though I wasn't really comfortable.
She seemed really happy and pleased and all those things and I didn't like it....at all. I'm so afraid to be honest with her about how bad I feel. So, I'm honest about things that are more positive. And I leave feeling disappointed and frustrated.
Plus, I'm so desperate for someone to put their arms around me, I feel like I will literally die. Or maybe I just wish that I could.

I know this doesn't really go here, but in my head, all this (my T, the gay husband, teacher-friend) is just one big ball of sh*t, so I'm putting it here anyway. Plus, it had a little to do with the whole being fake thing.
I heard a recording of a song that feels so resonant right now. Some of the lyrics:
Gun-shy and shivering
Spat out on new terrain
Feign brave
With steel intent,
little and hardly hereDay One, Day One
Start over again
Step One, Step One
I'm barely making sense
For now, I'm faking it
'Til I'm psuedo-making it
From scratch, begin again
But this time I as "I"
And not as "We"

I know this may sound silly, but can you tell her this?
If you can't tell her how bad you feel, can you tell her how you feel like you have to accentuate the positive with her?
How do things stand with your pets? It's not quite the same as a hug, but it's pretty good to bury your face in a furry neck.

We barely even touch upon it each week.....

Old age homes, if you visit them, there can be old people who would love a gentle hug, people that are just starving for a hug just like you!
Hugs are out there, and there's lots of people wanting a hug just like you. Hopefully you can find them.
Maybe a church pastor, ANY church, just go up and say can I have a hug?
So I send you cyber hug, not the same but oh well
