Hi everyone, haven't posted here in a while, but wanted to share yes, a stunning moment with my pdoc.
Been going through a real hard time lately -- suicidal, medication changes, lots of appointments and phone checkins with pdoc and therapist.
The other day my pdoc asked me if I had friends who would be sad to see me gone. I barely nodded yes. Then he said, "I'd be one of those people, too."
There are good ones out there...

It's really hard to believe you mean something good to anybody when you're going through so much crap, and having someone meaningful say that to you can be incredibly uplifting, and help to hold you up until you can hold yourself. I'm glad you found a good one, may he maintain the empathy and understanding .. we need so many more of those kinds of people in the world, you know?

So true. When you're in the depths you have no inkling you mean anything to anyone. And in a way it meant more coming from him than a family member or friend...he didn't HAVE to say it, and when he did, he meant it. A very intense moment.
