Brief update

Posted by Tamar on January 13, 2006, at 18:46:01

Hi everyone,

I’ve been missing you guys.

My mother-in-law is still very unwell. I don’t think she recognises me. Her injuries are very serious and she’s not out of the worst yet. But she can breathe on her own now, so that’s a good sign.

I got a letter from my therapist’s team (he works with several others) and apparently there’s a five month waiting list! However, I’m now taking the maximum dose of Prozac and maybe that will help.

My mother came to stay to help with the kids, which is great because otherwise I’d be in hospital. I’ve never been so unable to function before. I seem to need to sleep 14 hours a day. Maybe it’s the Prozac.

I’m not able to get to the computer very often, but I’m thinking of you all and wishing you all good things for you.

Love,
Tamar

(((Tamar))) you are going through so much right now. I wish you could see your T right now. Any chance you can talk to that same pdoc again, and see if there's someone, anyone you can talk to in the interim? Someone who can be there for you during this incredibly stressful time?

I'm glad your mil is doing a bit better, and I'm glad your mom could stay with the kids. It's no wonder you need so much sleep honey, you're emotionally exhausted! Take care of yourself, and please ask for help from the the doc if you need it.

Holding you in my thoughts,
fw

Hi Tamar,
It is very nice to hear from you. I'm sorry you are going through such a difficult time. It is good to hear that your mother in law is improving, and that your mom is there to help. Take good care of yourself. I'll be hoping good things for you.
-all the best,

(((((Tamar)))))

I am so sorry about your mother in law. It must be such a difficult time.

Sleep may be underrated in times of extreme stress. Especially if someone is making sure the kids are ok. So sleep with no guilt. It's nature's healing.

I miss you, but you need to take care of yourself first, and your family second. I certainly understand.

Hi Tamar,

I hope the upped dose of Prozac helps reduce your stress. I wish your T didn't have such a long wait for an appointment.

We're thinking of you, too.
