why do so many of us decide to join in and conspire against ourselves?
I'm just wondering. I have a moron/*sshole for a boss these days and today he decided to abuse me because he was feeling inadequate or something. And my instinct is to run out and harm myself: smoke, drink, whatever. Doesn't that seem silly?
Maybe it's not a self-destructive instinct, it's just that I want to calm myself down and medicate myself because of the anxiety and stress associated with feeling angry and helpless.
But it seems to be a common theme around here with folks. And it seems so frustrating to watch people have sh*t happen in their lives when they TOTALLY don't deserve it, and then watching them want to hurt *themselves* for it. With others (e.g., Dinah), I want to hug them and pet them and tell them to be nice to themselves or to let us do it if we can. (So many loving people here.) But with myself I just want to obliterate, burn bridges, self-destruct, give up on life.
Seems rather unadaptive as far as instincts go. Anyone want to pet me? I love petting.
P.S. (((((Dinah)))))
and ((((anyone else who needs it)))))

Oh crushed, I have a 9 month old jack russell!! She's the sweetest dog ever. She snuggles with me or my daughters all the time. She's been the best thing to hit our home in a long time. She acts like a baby, wants to be held when she's tired, she loves blankies and stuffed animals. They are so dang smart, hyper as heck though. She has a friend that is a Beagle, they are a hoot to watch play!!! FUN!!! Cute puppies!!!

wow, that's cool. i'm so tempted to take one of these puppies, but man, what a handful that would be. but they're adorable as anything i've seen in a dog's age. (heh)

I think that was the name of it. That or Good Dog, heck my brain isn't working...anyway, it came out a few years ago, about a dog from outer space who came to eval. all the earth dogs, to make sure they were doing their job, running the earth properly, and keeping humans in line. (we were supposed to be the "pets") Anyway, when he found out we were "in control", he was supposed to take all the dogs back to their planet. It
was such an awesome, and funny movie! Great voices, Lynn Redgrave, Delta Burke....Well, if earth was run by dogs, we'd probably all be better off. I'd vote for a Lab (I have a Labby boy) or Golden, or maybe that cute little Jack Russell for Pres. oh, but I guess we couldn't vote, could we?
Oh, and crushed, consider yourself petted....; )
Now, sick that bad puppy on your bosses snagged up panties.

Boy, you've got that right, ppl like your boss are their own punishment, but unfortunately they take a lot of innocent victims down in the wake.
i'm sorry you are one of them crushed.Be sure to rent the movie, it's so sweet.
