I did it, I went to the GP and managed to confer to him that I'm doing fine with the meds. He looked at me funny when he asked about what I'm taking and I replied "nothing" but he didn't insist.
Woot!
The appointment was on Thursday and I was afraid I'd look terrible (which he would interpret as depression relapse) as I'd just been dumped by my boyfriend of 4 years on Sunday night but somehow I'm different. It didn't affect me all that much (I'm assuming its the SPD in full action) and after that I decided to move and signed my new lease that day so I was on quite a high.
As I left, the only thing on my script was a contraceptive. It never felt so good to deposit a script at the drugstore.

Hey Camille, I'm glad you're doing so well after the breakup. That's so difficult. I hope you continue to feel so strong.

Hi Camille,
Good for you!
Sorry to hear about your boyfriend. If you start feeling down, just remember that feeling at the drugstore.
