LOL, I like it, and you're so sweet, I just decided to let it stick. Wish there were a way to change it on the site.

I forgot about the weekend, and was worried about her, thanks for the fyi!

Hi Dinah!
Haven't chatted with you for a long time. How have you been? Did you have a good time in Chicago??

I'm in a cheerful mood. Chicago was delightful, and I haven't had so much fun in years.

We knew each other so well already that it was like meeting up with old friends.

How are you doing?

Great Dinah. I am glad you had a good time.
I missed it. But I couldn't have come anyway, since my husband doesn't even know that I come to this group.

Dinah,

Are you okay? I was expecting to see you on here after a bad therapy session.

You usually call him, don't you? Have you tried that?

Oddly enough I am ok. At the moment my sense of connection is very low. I almost cancelled tomorrow and didn't only because we went out to dinner and I forgot.

I go through periods where I really don't understand why I care so much about my therapist. Well, part of me doesn't at all ever. The part of me that does isn't all that close to the surface right now.

So I'm doing fine, except at work where I can't hold a thought together for two seconds.

How are you doing?

I find that when I'm more connected to babble, I'm less connected to my T. And sometimes the opposite is true too. Like I can only put mental energy into one area at a time.

I find it interesting how this has happened for you just after close connections with babblers and wondered if this same sort of thing was happening for you.

Although it sucks that it's happening :(

It occurred to me, but it seemed to start the week before.

I was taking more Risperdal than usual. Maybe it's as simple as that. Risperdal seems to make it more difficult to access my emotional side.

I really wish I had cancelled today's session.

The sessions where I say I'm not in the mood for working, have no desire to see him, and can't access my emotional side are not among my favorites.

I go into sessions very often feeling like that - shut down, no desire to access my emotional side. What I do before I go in is just tell myself stay open, stay open, stay open. I visualize rainbow light coming out of my heart.

For these sessions I never have anything planned to talk about (not that I often do) but I think when I am in that shut-down mode it is particularly important for me just to go in and be open to whatever comes up.

I think my therapist senses that I am making myself vulnerable and he is gentler (not a typical trait of his) and somehow more relaxed.

It doesn't always work and it's still never a very productive session but at least I usually am able to re-establish a bit of a connection.

I'm okay. I had a very strange session yesterday. Not bad, just strange and I'm still trying to process it. If I can, I'll open a thread on it.

This is the end of the thread.
