Hi there,
I went through HELL last year going from 20 mg Paxil (after 6 yrs of use) down to 10 mg. I couldn't get below 10 mg. My biggest gripe was weight gain and sexual side affects, and of course, the HORRIBLE withdrawal. I just saw a psychiatrist for the first time in years. She offered me Paxil CR when I was complaining about the short life span of Paxil.
Is the CR any better or will it be just as hard to get off of?I am considering taking the CR (she gave me samples) to get off the regular Paxil and then try to detox of the CR so I can try something else. She suggested Effexor might work for me. She claims there is no weight gain with that one. We didn't talk about other side effects....
Thanks for suggestions,
Pattisun

Hi,
Sorry if this is confusing, but questions about medications should go to the original Psycho-Babble (just one "Psycho"):
