I'm not an expert in this, but perhaps it's 5ht2c antagonism leading to some downstream effect.
But Remeron might do something to 5ht2a??
Someone here will know.

thanks i did some research about it, yes remeron have 5ht2c antagonism proprieties that increase dopamine levels, very interesting thing, my doc put on it for sleep but immediately noticed that i become more nervous since i start it, even at low dose (15mg) Paradoxically it cause me insomnia. I wanna try to take it during the day, let's see wut happens...

For no scientific reason, I wonder if improved sleep has something to do with it?
Mirtazepine, agomelatine and cyproheptadine deepen sleep and somehow that seems important.

Well that may be but most SNRIs are much stronger on serotonin and the sexual dysfunction can easily because by the serotonin.
It is believed that mirtazapine increases sexual function by blocking the effect of serotonin at the 5-HT2A receptors.

Could histamine have anything to do with it?

histamine (blockade) would probably have a negative effect
and alpha2 antagonists are sometimes used to create panic in lab situations. usually mirtazapine doesn't do that though
