Nardil plus Trazadone?

Posted by 4WD on February 5, 2008, at 20:29:53

I am planning to ask my pdoc to try on me Nardil on my next visit. Can I still take my Trazadone 100mg at night?

Of course you'll have to check with your doc, but I think Trazodone will be ok with Nardil. Trazodone is a serotonin antagonist, with no SRI effects, so 'I' dont see a risk of serotonin syndrome. I might be wrong (?). Other posters on here have added Trazodone to Nardil to help with sleep.

Thanks for the post. I didn't know Trazadone was a serotonin antagonist. Maybe that explains why I don't wake up in fear since I've started taking it.

You are partially wrong. It's a weak SRI.

Yes, you are correct.
