I'm curious about the effects of adding either Carbidopa, L-dopa or a combination of both to an irreversible MAOI. In my case isocarboxazid.
There is some information floating around the net but nothing that really answers my question, so I came here.
Does anyone here have any thoughts about adding Carbidopa, L-dopa or a combination of both to an MAOI that has been taken continuously for over a year?
Anyone even experimented with these, not including those with pre-existing Parkinson's? I'm thinking probably not.
All comments welcomed.
Thanks,
MK

>I would not expect carbidopa to have much effect on its own. Taken with L-dopa and under MAO inhibition, it could potentially have powerful effects, and I would advise caution.
That said, L-dopa didn't work for me, even with benserazide (an alternative to carbidopa).
