thinking back but 15 years ago my dr had me on 300 luvox and 150 effexor ......is that a strange combination ????????????

i don't know, all i know is both meds are serotonin reptake inhibitors, i can't give a scientific awnser, but definetly had increased serotonin levels in the synpase. Effexor is a good antidepressant, usall in higher doses. Lower doses seem to work more on serotonin, then after higher doses like 150+ is when it bumbs norepinephrine levels up

sounds potentially dangerous, actually. lots of psych 'experts' flat out...do.not.care. :-(

why dangerous to much serotonin....i think he did it because luvox at 300 was not helping depression also had me on 1800 lithium and tegretol all at same time.......haven't seen him in 20 years
