I am happy to see that your ideations have receded. Klonopin is known to produce depression or make it worse. However, I don't know if it was responsible for putting you into a suicidal state. Were suicidal thoughts present before you began taking Klonopin? Was anxiety present before you began taking Klonopin? Perhaps Valium is acting to suppress suicidal thoughts and anxiety. Regardless of the biological explanation, I'm glad you are feeling better. It might be helpful to look at the content of your suicidal thoughts so as to assess whether or not you have psychological and life issues to address.
Good luck.

You've made a lot of progress. I know how difficult it can be to taper benzos.

No, I was on lorazepam. It worked fine for insomnia for three years, and then I started to develop tolerance and inter-dose withdrawal symptoms. Tapering lorazepam was the hardest thing I've ever done. Once I did a crossover to Valium, my taper became smoother.
