generic nuvigil :(

Posted by Horse on September 11, 2016, at 19:55:32

My refill came as generic last after a year on brand...and I'm not too happy. Has anyone else taking this noticed anything?

I've never been one to complain about generics, and I've used them successfully many, many times. But this is one switch I don't like. Harder on my mood it seems. I need a stimulant to get by, but I am awfully sensitive to them because they destabilize my mood. Nuvigil was or has been amazing! It can last all day long, and I don't have a mood drop into dysphoria in the evening. Until recently :(

My fingers are crossed that this is some sort of nocebo.

But I'd love some input.

Hope you all are well.

I may be wrong (been there many times) But I think Nuvigil is a recent drug that replaced Provigil when it patten ran out. You can get generic Provgil but not Nuvigil.

Hi cadett, the generic nuvigil rolled out this june. FWIW, nuvigil works a wee bit better than provigil for me.

I stand corrected then. Provigil seem to work better for me. We all are different for sure. It is still a battle with the insurance company. Even for the generic.
