Could anybody please feel free to list any differences they've found between the 2? Any difference at small doses and not just large? Any advantages involving weight gain?

For some reason they make sustain release in 100mg and 50mg doses! I have a bipolar friendon 600-800mg/day. In that case id expect sustained release to be use.

I take 225mg sustained release in the morning and 850mg immediate at night. I take a cytochrome 3A4 inducer (Astaxanthin) so i had to up the dosage.
The sustained release is better for use during the day if you ask me because you get a little bit of it all the time versus all at once.

Tenfold. i think ill stick with the 100mg instant release as at that dose there was no ill effects. do you have any weight issues caused by such a hi dose of quetiapine? thanks.

I dont know if it makes a difference weight wise if you take 100mg immediate release or 100mg extended release.
What are you taking it for anyway?

Well, I've never known if u can. But I've never looked it up. I'll have a search for info using search using 'Metformin in type 1 diabetes/diabetics. Because Metformin is the only diabetic medicine which does NOT cause hypoglycemia (by itself) its plausible...

But this time, instead of slowly adding it to a current med regime, I am keeping it whilst I withdraw from my current meds so im already on it when I start Nardil. I like the med! 250mg was better but the weight gain was astonishing all of a sudden. Been back on 100mg for several weeks now and have already gone from 13 1/2 stone to 12 1/3 stone. Roughly 10lbs! Mind you I've totally lost my appetite which is far from problematic and the thought of food has all but vacated my mind.

sustained release is all around the clock, seroquel was not for me, even though i switched to zyprexa which is more stronger, seroquel made me feel like i was dopamax
