Seroquel sedation

Posted by busub on June 14, 2016, at 19:29:20

Just curious as to how long it takes to get over the initial sedation of Seroquel XR.

I started 50 mg XR about 13 days ago and bumpted up to 150 mg 6 days ago.

Any help would be appreciated. I find myself very achy and fatigued through much of the day.

It's so far done a fairly good job on my anxiety but not a whole lot on what mild depression I have left after being on 50mg Paxil daily. Any input as to how long until it starts to affect my depression?

i take 150mg Seroquel Prolong in the morning and 550 Seroquel immediate release at night.

To things happen with time: 1. You get used to the sedation. 2. You will probably not be as sedated anymore as you were when you first started.

For me its a tad more of the former than the latter.

Prolong is good. Hope this helps.

Is it helpful aside from the sedation?

Do you have paranoia or psychosis?

I dont know if it helps depression for me but it doesnt hurt it either. Some APs can do that!

seroquel's sedation is very common, doctors in the US use it frequently as a first line sleep aid, im not sure about it's antidepressant effects, but i know it calms the mind, and reduces anxiety, but also can make you feel kinda 'doped'

but still i've read success stories with depression with people using it, if you have low energy and mental fog, seroquel may not be a good choice, its mainly for reducing anxiety and racing thoughts
