Hello,
I'm currently wondering if I might have something like Bipolar without mania. Since no antidepressant helps with these symptoms it must be something other than serotonin imbalance. My theory is that it could be something with glutamate.
I don't know how to find out what exactly my problem is.How often and how fast does the inner state change when you have bipolar can it change within minutes every day or is it more like you go thru phases which last weeks?
For example when you are exposed to something which really excites you like for example you walk into a mall and they have tons of interesting products or really good bargains then can this trigger a "bipolar" response?
When I am exposed to such stimuli then I instantly feel strange inside it's like my mind is racing and I simply feel different und not calm at all. It's like I become excited and I'm impatient and become irritated and this bothers me it's very disabling.Often times I have to do something like sitting in a dark quiet room simply to come down again.
I also have so many things on my mind that I feel as if I'm in a bubble and every disturbance from the outside bothers me. It disturbs me when people say something to me or ask me something.I'm also addicted to things which somehow stimulate me like posting at forums or reading stuff at forums. I can hardly resist it even though I know it's not good for me but I still always do the same stuff. I have many really destructive behavioral patterns and I'm also ashamed of them and I still do them all the time.
I feel like I simply cant really control myself.

Do you have episodes of severe depression? I know what you mean about feeling overstimulated, racing thoughts but that aren't anxiety Moods can change throughout the day, but bipolar episodes are longer, depression episodes can last weeks or months...manic episodes are usually shorter in duration.
You would have to have both types of episodes to be diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Have you ever been on any medications besides antidepressants?
You would have to see a psychiatrist for an evaluation. Nobody on this forum could really say one way or another. I hope you feel better.

What do you take as of now??
Your drug could cause the restlessness.
