So not only does my doctor think that you can die from hypoglycemia due to metformin, that noradrenaline causes psychosis, but he also informed me that Mirtazapine is an SSRI NOT a tetracyclic!
Any more questions?

Show this to your doc as it is indeed a tetracyclic. Phillipa

Happens. When I was freaking out once from a manic episode, I asked my doc for something to calm me down. I have a history of drug misuse, so I asked for lyrica. She shook her head, said "that's a serotonin drug, and I don't use it," and gave me 2mgs/day Klonopin.
Shrinks are weird.

I'd just let it ride until you can get a new doctor. I don't know how shrinks are where you live, but all my shrinks (in the southern US) have serious ego issues.

I may have found a good one now though. He is open to prescribing foreign medications and his patients are very happy. Seems to be a kind psychiatrist!
I only hope he will be in with the Metformin i am taking and also with the Prazosin...
He might be. For some reason, some doctors think they are good doctors, when they dont listen to the research of their patients.

Remeron is an SNRI. My doc says that metformin will not kill you from hypoglycimia. That it can not make it too low.
