I have moved to Spokane and haven't a clue.
I tried one therapist and was better read than he.I am scared to try a new psychiatrist. What resources are reputable?

I use those too. when a doctor screws up I post that to every rating site I can find. I also post the positive experiences.

Nobody this far away...professional networking seems to be very regional, within a county or two.

> If you have no referrals from your old p-doc, I would suggest you start from scratch. Get several names from your insurance website, make calls, get a few appointments with those who call back and decide who you feel comfortable with/feel is competent. There are all these grade-doctors websites, but they're not that useful. Most have only one or two reviews and no actual comments, just people checking off numbers like - on a scale of 1-5, was this doctor easy to get an appointment with. Also, most don't let you search on doctors by score. Check them out after you've met and thought about continuing.
If you have insurance, the insurance website is your best source. Then check those you make appointment with on your state licensing board website to make sure they have no malpractice issues or board discipline issues. The licensing board will also give you their graduation date, from which you can figure their age, if that is a concern for you.
