So I upped my Prozac dose (I'm on a low dose of 15 MGs as it is) and within 2 weeks, I have developed a nasty tremor in my legs. I can't sit still without anxiety, and my legs basically are stiff and with minds of their own. I've been taking some benedryl to offset this, but I cannot wait to get off this Prozac. This happened to me on Prozac years ago, and I completely forgot about it. Lesson learned.
I am going to ask my PDOC to switch me off of it, and put me on a different SSRI, something nice and sedating.

Among SSRI antidepressants, fluvoxamine is a uniquely potent sigma-1 receptor agonist. This will protect you from akathisia. It will also ameliorate psychotic depression, anxiety, OCD, and agression.

Thanks Scott, I plan on asking for it. I took Luvox about 10 years ago, and it worked well, sedating and good for that pesky OCD. The only thing I worry about is that I noticed alot of peaks and valleys on it (short half life).... at one point I was totally convinced I had a mild BP thing going on because I would get a little jazzed up, then have anxiety, then relax. I'm not BP but I always wondered about that. I think it had alot more to do with what I was taking the Luvox with, caffeine consumption, etc...
I think that it would go perfectly with my meds I am taking now, although I am a little worried about the Klonopin due to drug interactions

Been taking low dose luvox a mere 25mg with low dose lexapro 2.5mg why don't know as doesn't help. As for the benzo, I know ativan is the one benzo that doesn't interact but not to worry I have been taking both valium and xanax for years with the luvox. First time I took luvox got to 250 mg and felt great was also on ativan I think 3-4mgs a day. I don't know why I don't up the luvox as it really doesn't do much for me at this low dose. Phillipa

I always take my medication 3 times a day so as to produce a more stable blood level.
