Joe the addition of klonopin caused me to feel suicidal. My pdoc at the time called and said to immediately stop and go back on xanax. At the time was still working as a psych RN. The docs on the floor used klonopin and none of other benzos cause they felt that klonopin wasn't a drug that was abused like the others. This was a long time ago. And now I wonder what they would use? Phillipa

i think klonopin and valium can depress some. But like herpills, I agree klonopin is the best med there is for severe anxiety.

Hello, what dose of Klonopin made you feel suicidal? I remember trying it a long time ago and feeling down, but maybe I was taking too much. I wonder if a very low dose might help people? I take Xanax too, for sleep, and it doesn't seem to cause depression or rebound anxiety during the day (just stuck with my usual anxiety). Can Klonopin and Xanax be taken together?
My friend just got Klonopin prescribed for her for her anxiety, so maybe it's still a go-to med.

Prescribed for me with xanax also at the time the doc was cutting down on the xanax but my body didn't like the klonopin. So long ago sorry don't remember the dose. I do remember that xanax was .5mg a few times a day then. Phillipa
