Ativan was fine. Klonopin depressed me. I couldn't take it felt suicidal and wasn't on it pdoc immediatedly took me off it and put me back on xanax and was fine.

Joe wanted to tell you the strangest thing happened. I again upped the luvox was decreasing to 37.5mg from 25mg and downed the lexapro to 2.5mg from 5mg and woke with twitching eye that had disappeared when cut the luvox and upped the lexapro. So might be right about strange effects of luvox. Thought you would want to know. Phillipa

thank you ...thats what scares me about luvox ..as i look around the web ..it seems like a strange ssri that came over from europe in 1994 specifically for ocd- available in europe 1983--it even predates prozac world wide....ask your dr why it is never prescribed much,,,love to hear his answer

also philippa ..if i switched for 3 days to .5 xanax 3 times daily would it be an effort to go back to ativan if its not effective(2.0)....honestly i'm starting to thinkk a sip of alchol 3 times daily may be just as effective for anxiety

Joe you know before the internet I just switched back and forth and never had problems. Now with all this stuff on the internet it is downright scarey. Decades ago life was so much easier and I know not as many things were known as in false labor age 27 with third in the hospitals the ob-gyn gave me two seconals to sleep and I didn't Sleep, even with them, but the point is throughout the pregnancy was on benzos and drank and nothing wrong with the baby at all. Today nothing is okay even calcium heart disease. Can't win. Phillipa

klonopin is more mentally sedating....ativan is more mellow feeling, with mucsle relaxtion. If i had a choice, klonopin for panic attacks....ativan for high anxiety....but that's just my view....they both work a bit diffrent....if you look at today from my prevous experinces with doctors they tend to use klonopin more frequently than ativan.....i was put on ativan after klonopin dosages where maxed out and not working because it made me so depressed.....

klonopin works for me, only .5mg at night, lasts all day. I was diagnosed with gad, panic, mdd. Treated with remeron, zoloft, and klonopin for 2 1/2 yrs, gained 30lbs. Tapered z and r,stuck with k, and lost 30lbs. Would like to get down to .25mg klonopin. Just switched over from brand to Teva, saving $ and still doing very well. Good luck.
