Hi,
I am looking for a treatment for OCD that is not an SSRI. One without sexual side effects.
Any help would be appreciated.

NAC is being tested on OCD at Yale.

5HTP and inositol and P5P (the activated form of vitamin B6) might help.

If your pockets are deep enough, neurofeedback and TMS.

I have been in desperate need for a non ssri option, first let me say thanks for replying with options, however i will state that two of the options ,5htp,and inosotol might have some angles to consider,
5htp was touted the miracle otc when plain ole tryptophan was banned, people flocked to it,HOWEVER it needs to be noted the danger of it which is 5htp is very potent, and the problem with it is unlike tryptophan which intended to raise brain serotonin 5htp is extemly potent and raise both brain and BODY serotonin and body sero levels can be very dangerous with people with heart problems even to the lead of heart attacks, the flood of serotonin through the ENTIRE body can be dangerous, also 5htp is usualy not friendly when used with ssri combos or other med combos.
As for inositol there is no danger i believe as its a simple b vitamin, the probelm is i was one who read the study on its use and it stated very high doses of it being used,i believe 12 GRAMS,AND this study had me running to the heatlh store buying up tons of it,in the end it just cost me a small FORTUNE with out any benifit, and i dont state it lightly, that amount of the vitamin cost me a few hundred dollers to keep up the dose for a significant period of time.
One option that i believe i heard MIGHT help is the use of ULTRAM,high dose ultram although dangerous due to its addicting quality has shown to have some minimal success with ocd,i however like many still suffer from ocd with little help,i often wonder how LUVOX even got this lable for helping as with my hundreds upon hundreds of readings i never have noted the drug luvox being particualary succesful for anything actualy.
GOOD LUCK
