Happened twice in a week I forget to take the benzo for sleep and start reading in bed and next thing I know it's six hours later. Why would all of a sudden I start sleeping without meds. Two nights now in a week. I don't get it? Does it mean don't need the med or something is wrong? Never happened before until this last week? Thanks Phillipa

I sometimes feel I could sleep without the klonopin, but I take it anyway everynight. Ive never forgotten it. Do you take the one you missed or go without? Do you have any withdrawal next day? If not, maybe it wont be needed everynight now for you. Isnt it true that as we get older, it takes longer for the meds to clear our systems?

I do think it takes longer to clear the sytem but I've continued to cut down. When woke at 8 since slept at about 3am took the missing dose. It's scarey to need more sleep. I never ever fell asleep reading before. Is what I look forward to at night. And I thought the older you got the less sleep was needed? Thanks Gadchick. P

Maybe you don't need the benzos anymore. Maybe whatever they were being used to treat has gone away.

I honestly don't know started for panic attacks age 24 not wow 42 Years later take still. At one time or more times in life just stopped them as didn't need them. I wonder also. So much written about withdrawal it scared me to take anyway. I wonder if lower dose of lexapro 2.5mg last night did it? Would I know if the meds were clearing out slower? Phillipa
