Question neighbor is on Disability and Also has The Teachers BC/BS as secondary insurance. Since medicaire Disablility is Primary and they refused to remove a sebaceous cyst on abdomin With BC/BS pay for it? Or because medicare denied as unnecessay will they not? Thanks Phillipa

Once a procedure is turned down by Medicare, BC/BS will usually pay for at least part of it, in my experience.

Yes. Once Medicare turns something down ( for example my therapist, who opted out), BC/BS will pay a good percentage of the therapy cost. The nuisance is that you have to always submit to Medicare first, but after that has been turned down, BC/BS always pays all or part of whatever the charge is. At least, that has been my experience.

Thanks she's rather lucky as is totally healthy and had a doc submit her papers for Disability. He worded it right she got it. And now travels all the time, cuts own lawn, walks dogs, Isn't bipolar are the doc said she was. Ticks me off $3200 a month. Includes Medicaire & teachers. Phillipa
